About the role
The Outpatient Occupational Therapist will evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans in accordance with the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. This role is responsible for the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that facilitate an effective return to community activities. The therapist serves as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and self while upholding the organization's Mission Statement and Core Values.
Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
- Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals focused on patient progression towards discharge.
- Document medical records clearly, concisely, accurately, and in a timely manner, including goal writing and functional quality indicator assessments.
- Ensure care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals.
- Participate in student programs, providing a positive learning environment and appropriate supervision.
- Create individualized professional development plans and pursue continuous professional growth.
- Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Acts and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
- Understand and follow organizational performance improvement methodologies.
Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school.
- Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
- CPR Certification required.
- Active and applicable state licensure must be maintained.
- Lymphedema experience is required.
Schedule
This is a full-time position with a 5x8 hour shift schedule, starting in June.

Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
