About the role
The RN in Outpatient Infusion is responsible for administering chemotherapy and immunotherapy to patients with oncology and hematologic diseases. This role includes assessing patient needs, monitoring for side effects, and providing education and support to patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy, biologics, and other specialty infusions.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after treatment.
- Provide patient and family education on treatment plans and side effects.
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams as needed.
- Document patient care and treatment using the EPIC charting system.
Requirements
- Current Pennsylvania Single State or Compact RN license.
- BLS certification required.
- ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Provider Course (may be obtained prior to start).
- Two years of experience in oncology or infusion therapy preferred.
Schedule
Day shift: 4x10 hours, from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM (40 hours per week).
