About the role
This is an outpatient urology floor. We support the providers' office visits and outpatient procedures for Urology. We also support nursing visits (Bladder chemo instills, cath changes, rectal swabs) and phone triage. Each surgeon is typically assigned a nurse. APPs are 0.5 nurses. Each procedure has one nurse. This nurse will train for a specific group of providers' clinics to support as well as nurse visits.
Responsibilities
- Support providers' office visits and outpatient urology procedures
- Perform nursing visits including bladder chemo instills, catheter changes, and rectal swabs
- Handle phone triage
- Train for and support a specific group of providers' clinics and nurse visits
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) with 2 years of experience in an outpatient clinic urology setting
- BLS certification
- Experience with Epic charting system
Schedule
- Shift: 8 hours, days
- 5x8-hour shifts per week
