Responsibilities
Med‑Surg Nurses (RN) provide care for primarily adult patients before and after surgical procedures and attend to patients receiving pharmaceuticals to manage illness. They must be well‑versed in a wide variety of health conditions. Responsibilities include: completing assignments made by physicians; providing routine treatment and post‑surgical care; assessing changes in patient health status and performing various treatments; administering medication; maintaining meticulous documentation of medication and treatment administration to ensure continuity of care among nursing staff, physicians, and the treatment team.
Requirements
- Active RN license
- Degree from an accredited nursing program
- BLS certification
- Minimum eighteen months of recent experience in an acute care Med/Surg setting
