This is an urgent backfill position with a focus on providing high-quality care in the operating room setting. The ideal candidate will be available to start as soon as possible, pending compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities Provide nursing care in the operating room during surgical procedures. Assist with patient circulation and recovery in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). Collaborate effectively with surgical teams in various specialties including General Surgery, GI, OBGYN, Orthopedics, ENT, Urology, Cataracts, and Podiatry. Ensure a safe and sterile environment for surgical procedures. Respond to emergencies and provide critical care as needed. Requirements Must have extensive circulating experience in the operating room. PACU experience is required. Scrub experience is highly preferred. Familiarity with surgical cases in General, GI, OBGYN, Orthopedics, ENT, Urology, Cataracts, and Podiatry. Prior travel nursing experience is a plus. Work Schedule Shift: 8-hour days from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with rotation for on-call duties. On-call requirement: 1 day per week, and every fifth weekend. Weekend on-call: Friday at 3:30 PM to Monday at 7:00 AM. Certification Requirements Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Active American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Active American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
