Requirements
- 2+ years OR RN experience required
- Oncology Surgery + General Surgery experience required
- Trauma: Level II required; Level I strongly preferred
- Float required — must be a well-rounded OR RN
- First-time travelers not accepted
- BLS required
- Epic (EMR) required
- Pending Nebraska RN license accepted
- Must live more than 100 miles from the facility
- RTO must be provided at submission; no RTO during the first orientation week
- 100% nicotine-free facility
- Please provide availability for the next 3–4 days for interview
Required Case Experience
Must have experience with the majority of oncology/general surgery cases, including:
- Whipple
- Esophagectomy
- Exploratory laparotomy
- Bowel resection
- Thyroid/parathyroid procedures
- Neck dissection
- Mastectomy
- Lumpectomy
- Breast reconstruction
- Free flaps
- Sentinel lymph node biopsy
- Melanoma excisions
Preferred Experience
- DaVinci Robotics
- Oncology
- Orthopedic
- Neuro OR experience
Schedule
- Primarily Days, 4×10s (7 AM–5 PM); possible night/off-shift rotation
- Call: 1–2 weeknights per week + weekend call approximately every 4–5 weeks
- Block schedule not accommodated
- Orientation: Biweekly
- Scrubs provided by the facility
