About the role
Access Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a 13-week assignment in West Burlington, Iowa.
Responsibilities
- Delivers care to patients intra-operatively using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Collaborates with other health team members to deliver care during surgical procedures.
- Maintains high standards of professional nursing while interacting effectively with surgical patients and health team members.
- Performs circulating procedures, instrumentation, and assists surgeons and anesthesia providers.
- Provides patient education and resources as part of the clinical care activities.
- Care for surgical patients across various specialties including ENT, General, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Dental/Oral surgery, Pain Management, Ophthalmology, Urology, OB/Gynecology, Vascular, and Bariatric.
Requirements
- Previous Epic Experience Required.
Qualifications
- Current RN license in good standing.
- Experience in operating room settings preferred.
Skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Benefits
Access Healthcare offers a competitive pay package with a tax-free stipend to be determined. The position includes 40 hours per week, 10-hour shifts, and approximately 70-80 hours of call duty per 4-week period with a response time of 30 minutes.
Pay
The pay package is based on 10-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation).
