Travel OR RN - $2,700 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for an Operating Room position in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Start date: December 14, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Schedule: 40 hours per week, 10‑hour rotating shifts. Employment type: Travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions.
• Serve as communication liaison between patients' families and the operating team.
• Ensure the correct procedure is performed on the correct patient.
• Initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physician; teach patients and families medication and home‑care management.
• Additional duties for Circulating OR Nurses: respond to patient comfort and safety needs, accurate care and handling of specimens, monitor equipment used during surgery, inventory surgical items pre‑ and post‑procedure.
• Additional duties for Scrub OR Nurses: selection and handling of surgical instruments and supplies during procedures, inventory surgical items pre‑ and post‑procedure.
• Additional duties for RN First Assistant: assist physicians by delivering direct surgical care, help control bleeding, suture patients following surgery.

Requirements

• ACLS certification.
• BLS certification.
• 1‑2 years recent acute care experience as a circulating nurse, scrub nurse, and/or RN first assistant.

Skills

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Capable of lifting 20 lbs routinely; moving or lifting patients may require up to 50 lbs.
• Tolerance for exposure to chemicals and infectious diseases in the OR environment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 10‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
