About the role
Malone Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Operating Room (OR) specialty. This is a 13-week assignment starting 09/14/2026, with 40 hours per week on an 8-hour day shift. Core 3 & 4 experience is required, with a preference for candidates who are well-rounded and current in most OR areas except CV & Transplant.
Responsibilities
- Circulate in the OR (required)
- Scrub in the OR (preferred)
- Float within scope to meet facility needs, including General, Plastic, GYN, ENT, trauma, Neuro, ortho, GU, Colorectal, and Robotics
- On-call duties: 40-60 hours per 6 weeks (can vary)
- Work 2 out of 3 major holidays as part of RTO restrictions
Requirements
- 3+ years of OR RN experience
- Trauma Level I experience (required; screen > 2 years if candidate has at least 1 year in Level 1 trauma)
- BLS certification (required)
- Active IN, compact, or temporary Indiana nursing license at time of start (pending license accepted)
- First-time travelers accepted
- Local candidates accepted (reduced rate for travelers residing within Indiana)

- Average daily census: 70-80 patients
- 21 operating rooms
- Facility type: Short-Term Acute Care
- Charting system: Cerner
- Scrub color provided
