About the role

We are seeking a qualified Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our team in Watertown, New York. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced surgical environment, providing high-quality patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.

Schedule

• 40 hours per week
• 8-hour shifts, days (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
• Weekend, holiday, and on-call duties required

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care in the operating room setting
• Assess patient needs, including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual aspects
• Recognize and address safety issues for patients and self
• Utilize lifting techniques to move patients safely
• Function effectively in high-stress situations, utilizing problem-solving skills
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed
• Maintain clinical equipment and instrumentation for a safe surgical environment
• Interpret lethal dysrhythmias to assist in patient care

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
• Preferred experience in preceptorship, charge, and leadership roles
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate effectively
