About the role
Host Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a 13-week assignment starting August 31, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Perform surgical procedures under the supervision of an operating room team
- Assist surgeons during surgeries
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery
- Monitor patient conditions and adjust treatments accordingly
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient care
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Iowa
- Experience in OR preferred but not required
- Knowledge of sterile technique and infection control
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Qualifications
- Passing scores on the NCLEX-RN exam
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Skills
- Proficiency in using medical equipment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay
The pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation), with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
