Travel OR RN - $2,524 per week

About the role

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for Operating Room (OR) with orthopedic specialty in Auburn, New York. Start date: October 19, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks, 40 hours per week. Shift: 8‑hour day shifts. Employment type: Travel. The RN will float as needed per facility requirements and ensure the highest standards of patient care in the operating room environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the operating room during surgical procedures.
• Assist with a variety of orthopedic surgeries including but not limited to joint replacements, spinal fusions, and arthroscopic procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and effective workflow.
• Monitor patients' conditions pre‑, intra‑, and post‑operatively.
• Administer medications and manage patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years recent operating room nursing experience, specifically in orthopedics.
• Current New York State nursing license or proof of application for licensure.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Strong proficiency in various surgical techniques and patient care practices in an OR setting.
• Must be able to pass a telemetry assessment on the first day of orientation.

Schedule

Day shift, 5 days a week (07:00 – 15:30) with required weekend coverage every other weekend and every other holiday.
