About the role
We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in trauma to join our surgical team. The OR RN will provide safe, age-appropriate patient care and act as an advisor and resource for patients and their families. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various surgical services, including trauma, ENT, colorectal, plastics, neurosurgery, and surgical oncology.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality nursing care in the operating room for a variety of surgical cases.
- Monitor and assess patient status during procedures.
- Administer medications and perform procedures as required.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families about the surgical process and postoperative care.
Requirements
- Valid RN license in Maryland or a Compact license.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an operating room setting.
- BLS certification required; ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications preferred.
- Completion of a 16-hour Maryland approved trauma course by the 27th week.
- 8-hour annual trauma CEUs required.

Day shift, 5x8-Hour (06:45 AM - 03:15 PM)
