About the role

VyTalent Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN for an Operating Room position in Wheeling, West Virginia. The assignment is a 13‑week hospital contract starting ASAP, with 36 hours per week (12‑hour shifts). Employment type is travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide preoperative nursing care in a surgical center environment
• Assist with all procedures including same day and overnight stays
• Perform IV insertions and manage surgical care procedures
• Collaborate with surgical team, charge nurses, house supervisors, and OR techs
• Maintain EMR documentation and adhere to facility dress code and scrub requirements

Requirements

• BLS certification
• Experience with all procedures including same day and overnight stays
• IV skills
• Surgical care knowledge, including robotics
• Scrubbing required for RN’s
• Pre‑operative care only
• Familiarity with Sunrise EMR (EPIC go‑live scheduled for April 1)
• Equipment and dress code provided by facility
• Unit‑specific orientation
