About the role
We're looking for Operating Room RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and medical staff in caring for surgical patients, providing pre‑ and post‑surgery care and education.
- Provide basic bedside care.
- Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions.
- Serve as communication liaison between patients' family members and the operating team.
- Ensure the correct procedure is performed on the correct patient.
- Initiate patient education plan as prescribed; teach patients and families medication and home‑care management.
- Respond to comfort and safety needs of the patient (Circulating OR Nurse).
- Accurately care for and handle specimens (Circulating OR Nurse).
- Monitor equipment used during surgery (Circulating OR Nurse).
- Manage inventory of surgical items pre‑ and post‑procedure (Circulating OR Nurse).
