ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Martinsburg, West Virginia.

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Holiday call rotation required as needed
• Flexibility to float to outpatient surgery may be necessary

Job Description

The Operating Room Registered Nurse plays a crucial role in providing high-quality surgical care in a fast-paced environment. The RN will be responsible for the preparation and management of the operating room, ensuring that all surgical procedures are carried out safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, including sterilizing instruments and ensuring all supplies are available
• Assist the surgical team by passing instruments during operations, especially with robotics and various specialties
• Monitor patient vital signs and maintain a sterile environment throughout surgical procedures
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient care are met
• Participate in emergency procedures and respond to rapid changes in patient condition during surgery

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the operating room specialty is required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory; PALS certification is preferred
• Must have experience with various surgical specialties and passing arms in and out for robotic surgeries
• Previous travel assignments in a similar capacity are preferred
