About the role

We are currently seeking a skilled Operating Room RN to join our team for a 13-week contract position in Martinsburg, West Virginia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in orthopedic surgeries and possess experience with robotic surgical systems. This role involves circulating and scrubbing for various surgical procedures while providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures.
• Assist in the preparation of patients for surgery, ensuring they are appropriately positioned and cared for.
• Circulate during surgeries, providing support to the surgical team and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and reactions during procedures.
• Participate in the call rotation, covering evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the operating room.
• Experience with orthopedic procedures and robotic surgery required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required; PALS is preferred.
• Experience using the EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Previous travel assignments within the operating room setting preferred.

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
• Weekday and weekend call rotation.
• Holiday call rotation as needed.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
