About the role
The hospital is currently seeking 2 OR Nurses to circulate in their busy unit. This OR runs 5 rooms, with an average case load varying from 2-7 cases per room per day. Common cases include General, OBGYN, and ENT. PACU/GI/Endo experience is preferred, as this position may involve floating to the Ops area.
Responsibilities
- Circulate in a busy OR unit with an average case load of 2-7 cases per room per day
- Work 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
- Utilize the Pyxis medication system and transition to EPIC charting system
- Strong preference for nurses with EPIC experience
Requirements
- OR experience preferred
- PACU/GI/Endo experience preferred
- EPIC experience preferred
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Current BLS certification
Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple patients simultaneously
- Knowledge of EPIC charting system (preferred)
