Travel OR RN - $2,192 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN specializing in Operating Room (OR) for a 13‑week travel assignment in Asheville, North Carolina. The position requires 40 hours per week on 10‑hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions.
• Serve as communication liaison between patients' families and the operating team.
• Ensure the correct procedure is performed on the correct patient.
• Initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physician; teach patients and families medication and home‑care management.
• Additional duties for Circulating OR Nurses: respond to patient comfort and safety needs, accurate care and handling of specimens, monitor equipment used during surgery, inventory surgical items pre‑ and post‑procedure.
• Additional duties for Scrub OR Nurses: select and handle surgical instruments and supplies during procedures, inventory surgical items pre‑ and post‑procedure.
