Job Description
The Circulating OR Nurse demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation and provides both routine and complex care. They are responsible for managing patient needs and fostering effective communication among all healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provides nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
- Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administers medications and treatments according to protocols while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
- Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given accurately.
- Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and caregivers while identifying issues and resources.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM. Please note that the schedule may vary each day based on case start times.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred.
- Current BLS certification (AHA only).
- Registered Nurse license in the state of Texas or compact license.
