About the role

The Registered Nurse in the Surgery/Operating Room will provide high-quality patient care within a surgical environment, working collaboratively with the surgical team to ensure the safety and comfort of patients undergoing surgical procedures of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Assist during surgical procedures by managing patient needs and maintaining a sterile environment.
• Monitor and assess patient stability before, during, and after surgical interventions.
• Administer medications and follow established protocols for surgical patients.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthetists, and surgical support staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Document patient progress and surgical outcomes accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina.
• ACLS, BLS, CPI/HWC/MAB certifications required prior to start.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a surgical or operating room environment preferred.

Schedule

• Shift: 06:45 AM - 03:15 PM, 8 hours, days.
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend as needed, with call requirements of six shifts per month and one weekend per month.
