About the role

This is a 13-week travel contract position for an Ambulatory OR Registered Nurse. The role involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced perioperative environment, including prepping patients for surgery and monitoring them during recovery. The position requires collaboration with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR nurses to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.

Schedule

Shift: 10 hours/day, 4 days/week from 06:30 AM to 05:00 PM. Scheduled days off will be determined based on departmental needs, with special requests considered where possible. There may be a requirement for occasional late shifts.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients prior to surgery by reviewing medical history, reconciling medications, obtaining vital signs, starting IVs, and administering premedications.
• Monitors patients’ vital signs during the post-anesthesia care phase and provides discharge instructions as needed.
• Works closely with surgical teams to ensure effective and safe patient care.
• Handles patients undergoing a variety of surgeries, including Orthopedics, Interventional Radiology, and Gastrointestinal procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience in relevant specialties such as Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, ENT, GYN, GU, Surgical Oncology, and Robotics.
• Active Registered Nurse licensure in South Carolina or a compact state.
• Current BLS certification.
• Radiation badge to be provided by the parent company.

Pay

Pay package is based on 10-hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
