About the role
The OR Registered Nurse will provide skilled nursing care within the Operating Room. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring a sterile environment, assisting with surgical procedures, and maintaining the overall safety and care of patients during their surgical experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room and arrange necessary equipment.
- Assist surgeons and other medical staff during surgical procedures.
- Inspect, maintain, decontaminate, and repair surgical instruments.
- Maintain inventory records for surgical equipment and supplies.
- Provide pre and post-surgical care including dressing application and patient transport.
Requirements
- BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
- Minimum of 2 years of current experience in an acute hospital setting.
- Strong experience in ortho, neuro, robotics, and willingness to float to general OR.
Schedule
- Shift: 7AM - 7:30PM
- 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract position
