Travel OR RN - $1,891 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for an Operating Room position in Baltimore, Maryland. The assignment starts 11/09/2026, lasts 14 weeks, with 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions.
• Serve as communication liaison between patients' families and the operating team.
• Ensure the correct procedure is performed on the correct patient.
• Initiate patient education plan as prescribed by the physician; teach patients and families medication and home‑care management.
• Additional duties for Circulating OR Nurses: respond to patient comfort and safety needs, accurate care and handling of specimens, monitor equipment used during surgery, inventory surgical items pre‑ and post‑procedure.
• Additional duties for Scrub OR Nurses: select and handle surgical instruments and supplies during procedures, inventory surgical items pre‑ and post‑procedure.
• Additional duties for RN First Assistant: assist physicians by delivering direct surgical care, help control bleeding, suture patients following surgery.

Requirements

• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Additional certifications may be required before starting the assignment.

Qualifications

1‑2 years recent acute care experience as a circulating nurse, scrub nurse, and/or RN first assistant.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
