About the role
The Operating Room Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients undergoing surgery. The nurse will work within a team in a fast-paced environment, ensuring patient safety and comfort during procedures.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the preparation and management of the operating room environment.
- Perform nursing assessments and provide care to pediatric patients undergoing surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain vigilance over patient vitals and administer medications as prescribed.
- Educate patients and families about post-operative care and recovery process.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a pediatric setting.
- At least 2 traveler contract experience preferred.
- Current SC/Compact Nursing License.
- BLS certification required.
- Experience in pediatric and/or women's surgery is preferred.

Schedule
Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts from 18:30 to 07:00.
Weekend coverage is required, likely only on Friday nights.
No on-call duties.
Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
