About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Operating Room/Surgery unit in Austin, Texas. The RN will serve as a Weekend Charge Nurse responsible for overseeing and coordinating patient care within the OR. The unit consists of 22 operating rooms and a dedicated staff of 80, ensuring high-quality service and patient safety. Start date: October 5, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks, 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care and surgical procedures in the Operating Room.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Supervise and support nursing staff during shifts.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Utilize advanced medical equipment and techniques, including robotics and various surgical specialties.

Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of Texas.
• Certification as a Surgical Technician is a must for candidates applying for CST roles.
• Experience in Neuro/Spine or Cardiac service lines preferred.
• Flexible and positive team player with the ability to work independently.
