Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered RN care in travel or circulator capacity on-site.
- Monitor patient status and respond to intraoperative changes promptly.
- Ensure adherence to sterile technique and OR safety protocols.
- Meet or exceed productivity and quality targets through effective workflow.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Document procedures, vitals, and perioperative events accurately in EMR.
- Demonstrate professionalism and provide excellent patient and family communication.
- Uphold regulatory standards and participate in ongoing professional development.
- Lead or participate in preoperative check-ins and post-operative debriefs.
- Proactively identify improvement opportunities and advocate for process changes.
- Maintain inventory and equipment readiness for procedures.
Requirements
- Current Nebraska RN license with valid BLS and ACLS certification.
- Proven OR nursing experience as travel or circulator RN in perioperative settings.
- Strong sterile technique and adherence to OR safety protocols.
- Ability to document perioperative care and vitals accurately in EMR.
- Demonstrated teamwork with multidisciplinary surgical teams.
- Excellent patient and family communication with professional demeanor.
