The ideal candidate must have experience in all three areas: Pre-op, OR/Circulator, and PACU. The RN will function as a primary caregiver and must be capable of operating in each of these areas effectively. Responsibilities Conduct assessments and document patient care. Provide emotional support to patients and their families. Coordinate patient transfers and recover patients in PACU. Circulate surgical cases and assist with processing instruments/equipment in central sterilizing. Prepare patients for surgery and offer patient education. Adhere to principles of infection control and departmental policies. Follow national standards through IAHCSMM, AORN, ASGE, and ASPAN. Accountability The Registered Nurse will report directly to the Surgical Services Manager and/or their designee. Shift Information This position involves a 40-hour work week with a day shift scheduled from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Candidates should be prepared for occasional late days to manage surgical case loads and participate in rotational call, including weekends and holidays. Qualifications Education: RN graduate with current Colorado licensure. Experience: A minimum of 6 years of experience in Pre-op, OR, and PACU required. Skills: ACLS certification; CNOR and scrub experience preferred. Special Demands Mental: Ability to perform effectively in highly stressful situations and communicate well with a variety of individuals.
