About the Role
Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel Surgical Technician for a position in Plano, Texas. This role involves supporting the surgical team during procedures by preparing and handling instrumentation, ensuring a safe operating room environment, and assisting with patient preparation and specimen handling. The position requires coordination with surgical staff to optimize intraoperative performance.
Responsibilities
- Discuss special needs with surgeons
- Prepare the operative site
- Organize and maintain surgical instruments
- Perform counts
- Assist with draping and positioning
- Handle specimens
- Clean and sterilize instruments following each procedure
Requirements
- BLS (AHA Only)
- CST (NBSTSA or NCCT)
- Minimum 3 years of experience, including neuro, urology, orthopedic, general, or robotics surgeries
- Must pass a formal surgical technology program or equivalent training
Schedule
3x12-hour shifts (0645-1915), 36 hours per week, starting 11/09/2026, ending 02/07/2027.
