Job Summary

The position involves providing specialized surgical nursing care in a dynamic healthcare setting. The assignment duration is approximately 13 to 16 weeks, beginning on August 10, 2026, with a focus on supporting orthopedic, eye service lines, and general surgeries within the facility's OR department.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in operating room nursing.
• Strong experience in orthopedic and eye service lines, with the ability to accept minimal eye cases but primarily focused on general, orthopedic, and gynecological surgeries.
• Scrub experience highly preferred; circulating nurse experience acceptable.
• Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system experience within the past 2 years, nonnegotiable.

Additional Information

• Assignment duration of 13-16 weeks, starting 08/10/2026.
• Must be flexible with schedule, including every other weekend and on-call rotations every 3-5 weekends as needed.
• Bi-weekly orientations on Mondays; no block scheduling.
• All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained.
• Complete employment history details (e.g., bed count, facility type, EMR) are required for submission.
• Reliable transportation necessary, personal or rental vehicle strongly recommended during November-April due to limited public transportation options.

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
