Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse - $2,690 per week

Job Summary

This role involves providing specialized surgical nursing care within a busy acute care hospital setting. The position supports a variety of service lines, excluding cardiovascular, with a focus on trauma, general surgery, and elective procedures. The OR team operates on a rotating shift schedule, offering the opportunity for a dynamic and engaging work environment.

Job Details

• Schedule: Rotating shift hours, 10 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting August 3, 2026.

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent, valid Illinois license in hand or in application process
• BLS certification
• Minimum three years of operating room experience
• Active IL license

Preferred Qualifications

• CNOR certification
• Cerner charting system experience
• Level I trauma experience
• Expertise in all specified surgical procedures and case types, including laparoscopic, neuro, orthopedic, and transplant cases

Additional Information

• Candidate must have general operating room and trauma experience, with proficiency in managing emergency situations, equipment such as electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, Hana tables, and ability to work within scope across multiple service lines except cardiovascular
• On-call duties occur approximately once per week
• This role requires working with all service lines except cardiovascular, and completion of all necessary compliance and orientation modules is mandatory prior to start

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
