Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse - $2,645 per week

About the Role

Operating Room (OR) Nurse position in a Level II Trauma Center for a 13-week travel assignment starting September 14, 2026. The role involves providing specialized perioperative care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures, including trauma, uro, ortho, plastics, neuro, gyn, ENT, thoracic, vascular, cardiac, and bariatric surgeries. Requires proactive collaboration within the surgical team and adherence to established safety and clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative care for patients undergoing diverse surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with the surgical team in a fast-paced trauma center environment.
• Support interdisciplinary teams including IV, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response units.
• Float within the specialty and to sister campuses as needed.
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations, including on-call responsibilities (5-6 calls within a 4-week period).

Requirements

• Valid RN license in Maryland or a Compact state.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• One year of clinical OR experience preferred; two years of strong general OR and robotics experience will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DaVinci robotics.
• Trauma Level II certified procedures.
• Epic charting system experience.
• Prior community hospital or LTAC experience.

Schedule

• Evening shifts from 3:45 PM to 11:15 PM, 8 hours per shift, 40 hours per week.
• Includes weekend and holiday rotations.
• On-call responsibility: 5-6 calls within a 4-week period, with shifts starting from the end of the scheduled shift until 6:30 AM or a 24-hour weekend call.

Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
