Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse - $2,545 per week

Job Summary

The organization is seeking a registered nurse (RN) specialized in Operating Room (OR) for a position at a specialty care hospital in Marquette, Michigan. This role involves providing surgical nursing care in a Level 2 trauma unit with the potential to receive Level 1 trauma patients. The position offers a dynamic and fast-paced environment supporting a diverse patient population, including geriatrics, adults, and pediatrics, with minimal experience required.

Schedule

• Days shift, 10-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Start times at 0645 or 0900

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license
• BLS certification
• 0 years of experience
• Eligible to work in Michigan

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in general surgery
• Urology
• Gynecology
• Neurology
• Orthopedic surgery (total joints, sports medicine, trauma, podiatry)
• Basic ENT
• Vascular
• Robot-assisted procedures

Unit Information

• 12 operating rooms
• Trauma level classified as Level 2 but capable of handling Level 1 trauma patients
• Patient-to-staff ratio of 1:1
• Cerner electronic health record system

On-call Status

• Call required during weekends in 12-hour blocks, with two teams on call
• One or two weekends every six weeks
• One weeknight every other week
• 30-minute response time
