About the role

This is a 13-week travel contract position for an Operating Room Nurse in Brooklyn, New York. The role involves 40 hours per week with an 8-hour day shift (07:00 – 15:30).

Responsibilities

• Assist in all types of surgical procedures in various specialties, including General, Urology, GYN, ENT, vascular, Pain management, and orthopedics.
• Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure patient safety and quality of care.
• Monitor patient status pre, during, and post-operation.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Document patient's surgical experience and outcomes accurately.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an operating room setting.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.

Pay

Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Contract and local rates may vary based on location and applicant residency.
