About the role
Operating Room Registered Nurse for a 13‑week travel assignment in Silver City, New Mexico. The RN will assess, plan, direct, evaluate, and deliver safe and appropriate care to patients in the Operating Room.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients in the Operating Room and determine appropriate nursing interventions.
- Plan and coordinate peri‑operative care with the surgical team.
- Direct and supervise nursing activities during procedures.
- Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust care plans as needed.
- Deliver care within the scope of RN practice, ensuring patient safety.
- Participate in float rotations as required.
Required qualifications
- Current New Mexico or multi‑state Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- At least one year of experience in an Operating Room, Pre‑Operative, Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), or a related setting.
Preferred qualifications
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
Schedule
Night shift, 12‑hour shifts with variable call hours, guaranteeing 36 hours per week for the 13‑week assignment (09/14/2026 – 11/21/2026).
Pay
Competitive salary based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week, with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
