Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse - $2,165 per week

Job Summary

Operating Room Specialist in Reston, Virginia. This role involves working in a busy surgical environment with a focus on a variety of procedures including orthopedics, neuro, GYN, urology, vascular, and thoracic surgeries. The position requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care during day shift hours.

Schedule

• Day shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Assignment begins on 09/07/2026 and concludes on 12/07/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks

Unit Information

• Operating Room with 18 beds
• Staffed by a mix of Registered Nurses (RN), Surgical Technicians, and support staff
• Handles trauma, orthopedic, neuro, GYN/urology, vascular, and thoracic surgeries
• Includes complex procedures such as spinal fusion, total joint replacements, and DaVinci robot surgeries

Required Qualifications

• Certifications specific to the role (e.g., Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), license, or applicable state and federal certifications)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Any additional certifications aligned with role requirements
• Level 2 or greater trauma experience
• Expertise in spine and orthopedic procedures
• No minimum years of experience is specified but candidates are expected to demonstrate relevant skills

On-Call Responsibilities

• Approximately four 12-hour shifts every 8-week schedule
• Weekend and night coverage as needed
