Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse - $1,895 per week

About the Role

Operating Room Nurse (OR) position in Pasadena, TX, providing specialized perioperative nursing care within a busy surgical unit. This role involves assisting in a variety of procedures, supporting surgical teams, and ensuring patient safety and quality standards are maintained throughout operative care.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized perioperative nursing care within a busy surgical unit
• Assist in a variety of surgical procedures

Schedule

• Days shift with 12-hour shifts
• Minimum of 36 hours per week
• Weekends and on-call shifts required, including weekly on-call and one weekend per month

Required Qualifications

• Valid nursing license
• Minimum of 0 years of experience
• Experience or familiarity with orthopedic, general, urology, or gynecology procedures preferred
• Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in ENT, vascular (non-cardiac), and pediatric surgeries
• Knowledge of laparoscopic and robotic procedures involving open, laparoscopic, or robotic general cases such as appendectomy, cholecystectomy, bariatrics
• Robotic orthopedics including total knees and hips
• Trauma orthopedics
• Hysterectomies, tubal ligations, and emergent interventions
• Current BLS and BSN preferred

Additional Information

• Unit consists of 10 beds with a staffing of 54, including RN, CST, FA, PCT, anesthesia technicians, a supervisor, and a director
• No floating area required
• Unit operates with a team-oriented approach and emphasizes initiative and drive among team members
