About the role

An exciting opportunity to join a community-based oncology practice that is part of a nationally recognized, NCI-designated cancer center. This small practice includes a MD, APP, LPN, Ambulatory Tech, and 3 RNs. The infusion assignment involves a mixture of hematology, oncology, monoclonal therapies, and non-oncology referral infusions. A typical infusion assignment includes caring for 8 patients, with a maximum daily capacity of 24 patients, and involves chemotherapy teaching at the chairside.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a 4x10.0 schedule, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. No weekends, no holidays, and no on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage a full patient assignment with minimal supervision
• Provide chemotherapy teaching at the chairside
• Perform IV/vascular access and port access
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the oncology care team

Requirements

• 2-3 years of recent infusion experience required; outpatient clinic experience highly desired
• ONS chemotherapy/immunotherapy certification
• Current BLS certification from AHA
• Experience with Epic EMR and Alaris infusion pumps
• Current, unencumbered NYS RN licensure

Pay

Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
