Travel Oncology RN - $2,148 per week

TotalMed is seeking an Oncology RN for an immediate travel nursing opening in Raleigh, NC. This role involves providing top-level care for critically or chronically ill cancer patients, administering chemotherapy under physician direction, implementing symptom treatment methods, and monitoring patient progress. A key responsibility is educating cancer patients about treatment options and procedures while creating a supportive care environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate treatment plans
• Provide patient education and treatment tracking
• Be a reliable source of comfort and support for cancer patients and their families
• Attend to a great number of details while working under pressure
• Implement best practice treatment protocols in a variety of settings

Requirements

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience
• BLS certification
• CHEMO certification
• 2 years of experience (additional certifications may be required before beginning assignment)
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, as well as bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty
• Ability to easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds at times
• Ability to work with potential hazards from exposure to chemicals and infectious diseases
