Travel Oncology RN - $1,807 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Oncology for a travel nursing job in Tallahassee, Florida. The assignment is 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour day shifts. As an Oncology RN you will provide top‑level care for critically or chronically ill cancer patients, administer chemotherapy, implement symptom‑treatment methods, monitor patient progress, educate patients about treatment options, and serve as a source of comfort and support for patients and families.

• Be a reliable source of comfort and support for cancer patients and their families
• Attend to a great number of details while working under pressure
• Implement best practice treatment protocols in a variety of settings

Requirements

• Active BLS certification
• 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience (minimum 2 years oncology experience implied)
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty
• Ability to lift 20 pounds routinely; patient handling may require lifting up to 50 pounds
• Awareness of hazards from exposure to chemicals and infectious diseases
• Additional certifications may be required before starting the assignment
