About the role
MedPro Healthcare Staffing, a Joint Commission-certified staffing agency, is seeking a quality Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment with one of our top healthcare clients.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for cancer patients throughout all stages of their conditions, focusing on the acute phase.
- Assist patients ranging from post-surgical to near-terminal in managing their disease and treatment effectively.
- Administer chemotherapy and monitor patients' progress.
- Implement new methods of symptom treatment.
- Create a supportive environment for patients and their families.
- Educate cancer patients about treatment options, procedures, and particularities of the disease.
- May specialize in areas such as pediatric hematology/oncology or breast cancer.
Requirements
- Active RN License
- Degree from accredited nursing program
- BLS & ACLS Certifications
- Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Oncology setting
- Other requirements to be determined by our client facility
