About the role
This is a 13-week travel contract position for an Oncology Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) in an outpatient oncology setting. The nurse will work closely with a specific tumor group, administering chemotherapy, managing ports, and supporting patients throughout their treatment journey.
Schedule
Day shift, 4x10 hours (07:30 AM - 06:30 PM). No weekends or holidays required.
Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy and manage patient care protocols.
- Access and manage ports, including care and maintenance.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and support resources.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and communicate abnormal lab values.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to case discussions.
- Adhere to safety and isolation precautions while providing care.
- Float among clinics as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of outpatient oncology experience.
- Current BLS certification.
- Active NJ or Compact RN license required at time of submission.
- OCN certification preferred.
