TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist Assistant for a position in Fairfield, California. The role involves working under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to help patients develop, improve, or recover the skills needed for daily living and working. The position requires 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and holds a current BLS and COTA National certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT to support treatment plan adjustments.
• Document patient performance and progress accurately and in a timely manner per facility and state guidelines.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
• Comply with state licensing rules and adhere to facility and professional standards.

Requirements

• BLS
• NBCOT (COTA)
• 2 Years of Experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant

Qualifications

• Current BLS Certification
• National Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• State-specific licensure required
• Ability to lift and assist patients safely
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
