Travel Occupational Therapy Assistant - $1,079 per week

About the Role

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a 13-week assignment in Albert Lea, Minnesota. This position requires 32 hours per week, with 12-hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist (OT).
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT to support treatment plan adjustments.
• Document patient performance and progress accurately and in a timely manner per facility and state guidelines.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
• Comply with state licensing rules and adhere to facility and professional standards.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Current BLS certification.
• NBCOT (COTA) National certification.
• State-specific licensure.
• Ability to lift and assist patients safely.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Solid understanding of anatomy, motor function, and occupational therapy principles.

Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 32 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
