About the role

A pediatric occupational therapist is needed to provide therapy services to children in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and evaluate the physical, cognitive, and developmental needs of pediatric patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address functional goals.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  • Document progress and communicate with families and other healthcare providers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in Virginia.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations preferred but not required.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with children and their families.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Skills

  • Knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy techniques and interventions.
  • Proficiency in using therapeutic equipment and tools.
  • Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Pay

$45-50 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

9-hour shifts, Monday through Friday.
