Travel Occupational Therapist - Outpatient - $2,257 per week

Junxion Med Staffing is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for an assignment in Taos, New Mexico.

About the role

This is a 13-week travel assignment starting on September 14, 2026. The role requires 40 hours per week on an 8-hour day shift.

Responsibilities

• Acute Care
• Assessment and evaluation of patients
• AROM/AAROM/PROM exercises
• Bed alarms and call lights management
• Body mechanics and safety/injury prevention
• Discharge planning and home exercise programs
• E-stim, TENS, and ultrasound therapies
• Extremity and spinal mobilization
• Gait training and wheelchair assessment
• Geriatrics and neurology care (e.g., Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, post-stroke rehabilitation)
• Hip fractures/injuries and knee injuries/tendinopathy management
• Lymphedema management
• Orthopedics and sports medicine
• Pain assessment and management
• Patient and family education
• Pelvic floor training and women’s health
• Plan of care development, including short- and long-term goals
• Post-operative care (cervical, shoulder, spinal surgeries)
• Postpartum care
• Reassessments and vital sign monitoring
• Shoulder slings, gait belts, Hoyer lifts, and specialty beds
• Skin integrity and sensory response evaluation
• Strength testing and vestibular rehabilitation
• Supplemental oxygen delivery
• Time management and charting system documentation
• Identifying environmental barriers and signs/symptoms of abuse
• Medicare, Medicaid, Workers Compensation, and private pay billing

Requirements

• 2 years of experience preferred
• Valid state license (required before start)
• BLS certification
• Manual Therapy and Lymphedema certifications
• CHT (Certified Hand Therapist) preferred
• Charting system experience (required)
• Two professional references required at time of submission
• Must reside within a 75-mile radius of the facility
• Background check required; facility reviews any hits
• Zero tolerance for marijuana; positive THC test results in automatic contract cancellation
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Pay

Estimated weekly pay includes projected hourly wages and weekly meal and lodging per diems for eligible clinicians based on nationally published GSA rates. Actual weekly pay and per diems may differ and are subject to change during the assignment.
