Aya Healthcare has an immediate opening for an OT (Occupational Therapist) position in outpatient services in Juneau, AK.

Responsibilities

  • Provide therapy sessions to pediatric patients with various conditions such as autism, cerebral palsy, learning disabilities, sensory disorders, and handwriting difficulties.
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and reassess patients as needed.
  • Implement and teach activities of daily living skills, sensory diet programs, and visual perceptual skills testing/treatment.
  • Assist with patient/family education and safety and injury prevention strategies.
  • Communicate with families and caregivers via telephone calls and provide adaptive equipment assessments.
  • Document patient progress in the Fusion Web Clinic charting system.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Current NBCOT certification.

Qualifications

  • Pediatric outpatient experience.
  • Experience with Autism, Activities of Daily Living, Cerebral Palsy, Early Intervention, Handwriting, Learning Disability, Sensory Diet Program, Sensory Integrative Testing/Treatment, Visual Perceptual Skills Testing/Treatment, Home Exercise Program, Patient/Family Education, Safety and Injury Prevention, Telephone calls, Adaptive Equipment Assessment (Pediatric), Assessment, Discharge, Evaluation, Plan of Care, Reassessments.
