Travel Occupational Therapist - Inpatient Rehabilitation - $2,166 per week

American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week inpatient rehabilitation assignment in Wichita, KS, requiring a minimum of 6 months of recent acute care OT experience and an active KS license.

Details

• Occupational Therapy department with an estimated 15–20 therapy staff daily across PT, OT, and SLP disciplines
• Day shift, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Every other weekend is required
• Patient load of up to 6 treatment hours per 8-hour shift
• Patients have a 3-hour therapy requirement per day in inpatient rehab
• Equipment used includes ESTIM, patient lifts, ADL equipment, gym equipment, and IADL tools including a full IADL kitchen
• EMR: Meditech

Requirements

• Active KS OT license required if applicable
• Minimum 6 months of current acute care OT experience required
• Must have had active OT practice within the last 6 months
• Minimum 2 years of overall clinical experience
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include evaluation and treatment, ADLs, and IADLs
• Clinicians are responsible for tracking patient treatment time and charges to ensure each patient meets the required 3-hour daily therapy requirement
• Experience in an acute inpatient rehabilitation setting is preferred
• Lymphedema certification is a plus
• Neuro certification or experience is a plus

Pay Package

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
