American Traveler is hiring an Inpatient Occupational Therapist with required acute care and Cerner experience for a hospital treating a diverse range of complex medical cases.

Details

• Inpatient acute care hospital setting
• Patient population varies and includes neuro, cancer, med surg, ICU, nephrology, and cardiac cases
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Float to acute care areas required
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Cerner EMR experience required

Requirements

• Current OT license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Acute care experience required
• BLS certification required
• NBCOT certification preferred
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide inpatient occupational therapy services across a variety of acute care units
• Perform assessments, evaluations, plans of care, reassessments, and discharge planning
• Experience with adaptive equipment, functional splints, and prosthetics (above and below knee) is a plus
• Skilled in patient/family education, home exercise programs, and safe lifting and transfer techniques
• Completion of up to 8 hours of non-billable pre-start training modules via HealthStream is required
• Minimal RTO requested, particularly around holidays, though scheduling flexibility may be available
• First-time travelers may be considered
