Occupational Therapist Inpatient provides evaluation and treatment for adult psychiatric patients in an inpatient setting. The role develops individualized interventions, supports rehabilitation goals, facilitates therapeutic groups, and collaborates with the healthcare team to promote patient progress and discharge readiness.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients, determines prognoses, provides interventions, and communicates findings to the healthcare team
• Develops discharge recommendations, exercise programs, and family education
• Assists patients with self-care, home management, leisure, community participation, stress management, and coping skills
• Addresses physical impairments and sensory sensitivities
• Facilitates therapy groups
• Supports self-regulation
• Uses evidence-based assessment tools
• Delegates tasks to support personnel
• Participates in departmental education and program activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Schedule

Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week; rotating weekends; no on-call requirement.

Pay

Pay package based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
